Default Q7 Rear Headrest DVD... Myron & Davis or Rosen

Okay guys...

I've been shopping for a set of Headrest DVD for our 2011 Q7.

Can't get Invision, they only sell to dealers and it's going to be $2600

I'm down to both Myron & Davis or Rosen.... Any of you have them? do you like them? Please share experience, price and picture if possible....

I'm leaning more towards the Myron & Davis....

I got a local shop to do either one for about $1650 installed.... Just making sure I am making the right decision

Default I have Myron & Davis (installed by the dealer).

Currently working well to my kids specs. However, I did have an episode when the DVD got stuck and I had to pull it out with long nose pliers. The remote seems to go through batteries quickly - I've had to change them twice and only once for my keys (with keyless start) so far.

I'm told by my audio shop they have more problems with them... video quality is bit lower, there is a review on Amazon on them....

I think the TOP 3s are Invision, Myron & Davis and Rosen..... They match 100% to our car

why bother to begin with? i dont get the allure of these systems...

i have to admit though, when i saw one of them (invision?) installed at the dealer and the dealer told me it was a factory option i believed them because the integration was seemless... only until someone told me on another board that it was never an option did i realize it was installed at the dealer.

my point is that these are $1600 and only serve one purpose and are stuck with the car... an ipad or netbook has multiple functions and isnt tethered to the vehicle. you can take it with you anywhere, or when it is time to sell it isnt a sunk cost you can then dump the ipad/netbook as well if you dont want them anymore. just a thought.

Icono makes a good point - kind of like a 1st gen "car phone" - haven't seen one of these in a long time. Of course many things are personal preference and not necessarily logical.
