Default Black 2012 Q7 OEM Headrests

Anybody interested in a pair of black leather OEM headrests for the front seats? Originally outfitted on a 2012 S-Line, I had aftermarket DVD players installed and no longer need the OEM. If interested please respond to thread and we'll figure out a way to get in touch.

Thanks.

Curious, what DVD players did you install? I'm still awaiting for my Q7 to arrive sometime in October and will be doing the same so wanted to know features, brands and costs to consider. Thanks.

Fairly sure I did the Rosen. Wireless headphones for the kids with the ability for each headset to pick up the signal from either DVD player. Can also 'tune' the 2nd DVD player to pick up the video signal from the first as wel, so you can have any combination of one or two videos rolling at once.

Default Installation

Curious what something like this costs and how extensive and involved is the installation? Thanks.

i had it installed at a local audio shop... Rosen was $1200 installed

- 2 DVD Headrest with individual DVDs, they can watch different movies or same movie from other unit
- 2 Wireless headphones
- 2 Game controller (build in games)
- FM Modulator - sound can be routed to an FM channel to play thru car stereo
- Headrests are factory matched, they look identical to the factory headrests
- installation took about 5 hours.

we are very pleased with the result for our 16 months old. we thought about the iPad route but he is just too young for it plus this way we don't have to worry about power/cable issues.

he is loving Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.....

How does the FM modulator work to get the sound over the car's audio?

i'm in Dallas area... i checked 3 local stores and they are all around 1200-1400 installed. dealer uses Invision which is about 2200 installed.

Q7 headrests are not active headrests....... Rosen does make a version for cars equipped with Active headrest
Rosen stuff is factory matched... if you get them install within 3 month of new car purchase, Rosen will warranty it for 3 years too.
