Default Proper Break in

I have seen tons of discussion over the past few months on proper break in. I take delivery in the first week of December. What does it actually say in the owner's manual regarding Break in? I keep seeing the term "aggresive break in within Audi guidelines" and I have no idea what that means.

Default I suggest that you also check out Motoman's theory.

Get a much info as you can and then make an intelligent decision based on what YOU believe is best. Just remember that you only get 1 chance to break in the engine.

MotoMan's break in theory

Default Motoman has a good theory

Some of his explaination is wrong, however, and doesn't apply to our engine.

Motoman vs modified OM vs strictly OM..blah! When will this and the oil consumption issue ever die? And not just talking RS4 forum here.

When people get a clue, actually read the posts, and do some real research on the subject, instead of regurgitating mythology.

And who are you referring to? Let me guess. The man from Pennsylvania? Sorry, Doctor.

Look, it's all true and relevant, but everytime a newcomer asks tht basic question, there's another go round, which is just beating a dead horse.

Start with the owners manual and take it from there, IMO.

agreed, he is talking about motorcyle and snomobile engines? My original question was if someone could tell me exactly what the owners manual says. I did check earlier posts but I could not find exact verbage from the owner's manual.
