I feel your pain....

Came to the same conclusion, hated to do it, but the time has come. Need to sell the 8, which needs some work, but with what 100K mile A8s are worth, its not worth fixing. I believe I will be taking it to Carmax today to drop off.

By the way, I got a new AWD Lexus GS. Not an 8, but is a damn nice car. Corners flat, rides well, and even with the V6, has decent power, though certainly not A8 power.
