Default Test fitted my new wheels/tires

So I got my VMR 708 mounted with the Michelin Pilot Super Sports and test fitted on to the car. I won't be running the actual set-up until spring, but, obviously, I was dying to see how it would look. Quite honestly, it looks great. Most impressive was the fitment of everything. Absolutely spot on. Ride height is in dynamic mode.

Wheels:

VMR 708 in gunmetal. 20x9 ET35. Tires: 265/35/20

This last pic has a flat edge sitting flush against the top of the fender. You can see that the tire edge is 3/16" in from the fender edge. Perfect fitment.

Excuse the dirty car and garage. It is winter in New England. Yuck.

Wow, looks nice. Need to see daylight pix so the flash doesn't accentuate the salt covered fender liners, instead of the wheels though!

If my math is correct, your wheel is 22.7 mm out further from stock position! I have 12mm spacers on the front stockers, and I can't imagine another 11mm would work! Hmmmm

Wheel is actually 16.35mm closer to the fender from stock.....

Stock is 8.5" ET 45. Extending to 9" width with the same offset would move the wheel edge out by 6.35mm (1/4"). Then add another 10mm going from 45 to 35mm offset.

I think in your calculation you added the whole extra width of the wheel towards the outside, and then added the change in offset. You only add half the extra width of the wheel towards the outside. The other half of the extra width extends inward. Hope this makes sense.

Makes perfect sense, thanks!
