Default Low speed steering wheel vibration - fixed

TBS 2020332 Audi Mission Viejo in CA replaced a hose. So far so good. Hope it fixes the problem for my 2009/2.0t/P+/14800miles.
Audi-MV also said that this (hose) is the finalized version, not the one (temporary modified for earler fix) similar to original hose. It's longer and routed differently. Hope they are correct.

Thx for this info. I was aware of the TSB but not the actual part #. I wonder how difficult this would be to DIY...

Why would you want to? It's covered under warranty, so why run the risk of botching the job and no longer having the luxury of having it fixed on the dealership's dollar?

Have you ever tried to have a TSB done at some dealers? Sometimes its just easier to fix it yourself when they stonewall you.

Ya, depending on which service advisor is in at my dealer, I may get the, "You have wheels and tires that are out of spec, so warranty won't cover this."

Weak.

That's BS. It's clearly a known issue that affects you regardless of wheel/suspension setup AND THEY KNOW THAT! Ugh! I hate stearlerships sometime. And by sometimes I mean all the time.

Either way, good luck, bro!

Thx man. Hopefully I won't need it. At least if I expect the worse, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised

Tell me about it - I took my B8 in for front end suspension/steering squeak and told them I occasionally had a "shudder" at very low speeds.

Was very nice and mentioned that I thought maybe there was a TSB that covered this kind of thing - could they look into that?

Also mentioned that having the sunroof open at about 40 mph in the "comfort" position really makes the cabin buffet and resonate like a big drum, maybe they could check for a fix? (I know there is a TSB out).

They fixed the squeak (defective ball joint) but from my perspective didn't try hard at all to do anything with the other problems. They were resolved as "could not duplicate - car is performing as designed". This was without trying to contact me to get any more info on how to duplicate the issue/problem - I'm sure the tech had no idea what to look for given the 5 words the SA typed into the system to describe the problem after I gave him ~ 1 min description with details.

"Sunroof noise at 40 mph" isn't helpful.

This has been my experience since 2001 - I need a better dealership.

Sorry - end rant - years of being frustrated just sort of boiled over I guess.

^Ya, Houston-area dealerships leave much to be desired in that respect, tho I'm hoping an SA I've built rapport w/ will change my opinion when the time comes.
