Anytime someone gets a "good deal" on a very recent car I cross my fingers that it's not a situation like my old car. OTOH, it's entirely possible that the poor/lucky guy who got my old car got it after they fixed the final problem... Hey, it could have happened.

Nah, I got a CPO'd 2013 and its been relatively trouble free. It certainly wasn't a good deal. Dealer made $10k off me.

Have an appointment at the dealer on Thursday. We'll see what happens.

I would say I got a fair price but by no means a fair deal. CarFax says it was a personally owned lease before I got it. There are a ton of 2013 CPO'd vehicles with less than 15k on them in my area. Still don't understand why that's a bad thing, but what have you.

I think the concern is that lemon law buyback contractors might be good at making "courtesy buybacks" look like single-lease-owner-low-mileage cars.
Of course, I only say that because I recently DID go through a courtesy buyback, and I sure hope the next owner has better luck with that car than I did. On the bright side though, that has put me in an A6 3.0T Prestige!
Note that I'm sure there exist low-mileage CPO's that are a legitimate good deal. It's just being on the other end makes you feel a bit wary.
