Big question---has anyone confirmed that the 2015 A8/A8L/S8 will have 4G/LTE connectivity installed? The 2015 A3 has it and I cannot imagine Audi not upgrading its other models for 2015, especially the A8. No one at any Audi dealership I've visited in OH or PA has a clue about this. In fact, a couple have told me that upgrading the other Audi models won't happen until a re-design of each occurs as "it's too difficult to incorporate the connectivity upgrade" otherwise. That seems ridiculous to me. Audi has led the field in this area but even GM will have more models with 4G/LTE connectivity this summer (Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, and GMC trucks) and will leave Audi behind with its only claim of being "first to market" in the 2015 A3 that just went on sale.

I don't think we'll see it on the 2015.
While it should be a simple "change this transceiver for this one" I think they are going to overhaul everything and make it modular like the A3.

Just read this week's Automotive News in which there's an article on p. 60 titled "CEO Defend's Audi's Record for Innovation". In it, Rupert Stadler (Audi AG CEO) says that "Connectivity, lighting technology, and efficiency" are Audi's innovative strengths compared to his German rivals. If the 2015 lineup doesn't include 4G/LTE connectivity other than in the A3 sedan, then he can scratch "connectivity" off of his list of innovative strengths. It makes no sense to have the best connectivity in the A3 while the rest of the product line (all at higher price points) retains the sloooowwww 2G/3G capability for yet another model year. Especially when General Motors is installing it in most of their lineup this year.
