Has anyone tried this. I am frustrated that the front sensors are not active automatically as one pulls into a parking space. They only come on when reverse in engaged or I manually turn them on from the front dash button.

If that setting was changed, I wonder if they would constantly come on in traffic?

I believe it would. How is the car to know if you are parking or coming to a stop because the light is red?

You can also choose to get the (currently BETA) HEX-NET version http://store.ross-tech.com/shop/VCHN.html
There is a software download of VCDS you will need for the dongle.
Two important notes:
- ALWAYS run and save an Autoscan when you begin
- note down any coding before changes are made in case you need to revert
