How to polish paint on windshield pillars? PC? Hand?

How to polish paint on windshield pillars? PC? Hand?

Just wondering what you guys use when polishing the pillar between the windshield and the front doors?

Does hitting it with a PC and standard pad work well... or is it better to get those small "spot" pads, or just do them by hand?

I usually go by hand, but some products dont stain trim so a PC is fine

Going to mask off everything and use IP & FP (any idea if they stain)?
