Default 2013 A8 CPO

Looking at a 2013 A8 CPO; it was the dealership's service loaner; pretty much all the equipment I am looking for, 8,500 miles, MSRP was around $96k, their first offer was $77k so I think there is a little room; I am a little concerned about this having been a service loaner, any experience with that or the CPO and quality check that goes into the certification? Coming from a BMW X5, just am not crazy about their current line up and the quality issues I have been hearing about for the 5 and 7 series (as I don't want another SUV), so I am looking to make the switch.

That's a very strong deal. The dealer gets them at 78% of MSRP when they come of the loaner program. You might get another grand out of them.

I looked at a service loaner as well and decided against it. The Dealer told me that A8 customers treat loaners well, but I just couldn't get a warm fuzzy feeling about it. You do get CPO, though, so any problems that arise should be taken care of.

We are still going back and forth; they offered the Audi maintenance package as a "throw in" - claim it's a $1000 value; but it only pays for maintenance up to 50,000 miles, is that correct? Still seems like a good value as they claim each service is in the $400 range, does that sound right? Also looking at a 750 lease, but the Audi seems like the better riding vehicle and does not have the run flats which I don't care for at all.

Audi Care ? http://www.audiusa.com/myaudi/service and http://www.audiusa.com/content/dam/a...ombined_j2.pdf
Yes that is correct.

Worth it in my opinion.

Yes, starting with the 15K mile schedule maintenance and then 25K, 35K, 45K or every 12 months from last service, which ever comes first and used within 5 years. Unless you do your own service, Audi Care would save about 30% over paying the dealer as you go. AC costs roughly the same as an indy shop but with the convenience of having service done at the dealer. Will not cover things not included in the scheduled maintenance such as tire rotations, alignments and wiper blades..

Doesn't it still have the balance of the factory warranty in addition to the CPO. You are actually getting a longer warranty than buying new.

I just traded to 2013 CPO A8L from 2012 BMW X5M, and I am enjoying this car a lot. I don't think you will regret it. Mine was a lease return, 7300 miles and i paid in the neighborhood for 74K for it with the maintenance and tire and wheel and all their little insurance things.
