Cruise control servo/pump/vacuum?
Hey guys
I got a 97 A4 1.8T Quattro and I'm trying to take the throttle body off the manifold but I can't find out how to remove or what the part actually is that has a thin rod coming down from the throttle body to a black bag/ball.
I know it has something to do with the cruise control but I can't for the life of me find out what that assembly is actually called and how to remove it. The chiltons book I have just says remove the retaining clip and pull the rod from the mount but I can't figure it at all.
That black ball/bag/bladder at the end of the rod is all cracked and ripped. It's just thin layer of rubber I guess. I dono? I'm at a loss.
If anyone knows what it is and how to remove it that would be great.
Thanks

The rod removes from the throttle body by a little tiny bent peice of wire you pop out and the ball comes out of the socket and the actual diaphragm has 2 10mm bolts holding it to the block.
