MMI3G software update
Audi put out a link to show you how to find out what software version your car is using and how to update it to the 5.5.6 version. We wanted to share this with you, the more information out there the better it is.

Link doesn't work. I got my update discs from you guys and it says "no valid disc found" so I have started my search here. I expect to find that I'm doing something wrong; not accusing your store of anything.

My telephone MMI link no longer works for my 2014 SQ5.
Audi said that the 3G mfg (T-moblile) is being phased out and I need a software update to accept the newer AT&T service.
I was told I need to go to the dealer and see if there is a software update available for my MY2014 SQ5.
Nobody seems to be able to answer the question of whether there is a software update for this that will accept 5G.
When I asked AoA what to do if they didn't have an update for my software, they said there was nothing to be done...just can't use it anymore.
Sheesh,
Jason

Do you mean the 3G data service in your MMI 3G+ system ? The MMI in your MY2014 SQ5 has a data modem that is supposed to get 3G data from the AT&T network when it is provisioned with a valid AT&T-based SIM.
See my thread HERE for more information (we have a legacy Freedompop SIM that uses the AT&T network that worked fine a week or so ago when I drove the car last).
If your MMI still has a T-Mobile SIM, it's likely only getting 2G data (if that), as T-Mobile decommissioned their 3G service years ago to make way for LTE.
Now, AT&T is decommissioning its 3G network to make way for 5G; this is supposed to be complete by Feb 2022. After that, Audi Connect & Google Earth services will be made obsolete. And I haven't seen or heard anywhere that our old 3G-based MMI systems will be offered any kind of data modem update to LTE (let alone 5G) officially.
Update: AT&T 3G network still working this evening in NW OH.
