IceLink / iPod install (edited: now with text & pics)

update: time is not sync'd either!
I am teh suxor at attention sometimes. I saw the track time counting and lost interest by the time it reached .09. . . . .today I noticed track time reaches 09 and begins at 01 again!
so it appears this is a clean install and offers direct in connection and HU control of track forward and back but track number and track time are not sync'd AND the HU display does not list artist or title text as some radio stations do.
just a fancy contraption to allow clean install and clean sound from ipod. . . . .blitzsafe may be an attractive alternative for some folks.

I think head unit control is a definate benefit.
You are correct, the dock does supply a clean line out signal.
As you are the only person I know with the new icelink maybe you could enlighten me on a few things.
When you switch to FM Radio on the headunit, does this pause the iPod? If so how do you resume play on return to CDC?
The icelink "dock" looks pretty nice. Is it still easy to use the scroll wheel with your thumb while palming the iPod and dock?
With regards to my mechanical abilities, I think you may over estimate me.

I dislike commercials
so I don't generally listen to radio. When I do, it is often AM for traffic reports. . . .I have not yet checked it out but will do so on the way home tonight.
the cradle is curved and the whole thing fits in the hand pretty well.
I've got about 4800 songs on the ipod now and just have it set to random. Kind of odd with the sudden switch in genres but a refreshing novelty. . . . hank williams, the clash, rostropovich, louis armstrong, van morrison, bauhaus, the cure, david sanborn, red hot chili peppers. . . . .classical is under-represented and a recent 10cd John Lee Hooker box set purchase skews the blues represenation, but still good fun. . . .
