Default Is there a trick to get the exhaust double clamps not to leak?

I did the trans. rear output seal over the weekend and the new claps on the old exhaust are not as tight. Perhaps I should have kept the old clamps?

Thanks,

CH

Default clamps are teh sux0r

when we did my exhaust, the indy welded as much as possible then spent a few minutes per clamp with an air wrench getting the clamps tight...they can be tough to get on tight enough that they don't leak. are you sure you have the right size? did you use an air wrench or hand tool? I've found that for stuff like exhaust air tools are pretty much a necessity...which sucks because then I have to borrow tools.
