Spectacular. I am trying to figure out what to do with my rear. I have the black optic package and it looks like Audi basically forgot about this part when configuring everything. It looks a bit out of place with everthing else blacked out.

Looks really nice. Question: What is required to adapt the stock exhaust to the oval cut-outs? Do you just remove the tips and leave the "stubbies" in the oval?

Good question. My stock exhaust tips were cut and painted matte black. They are not very visible unless you make it a point to look in there. The cut is right up to the valve on the outboard side. They are a bit short of the oval tips which may lead to some heat build up when the car is stopped and idling. I'm thinking about having a muffler shop weld some extensions to make the tips go well into the ovals. That will improve the heat dissipation, but it will not look as nice. One more thing - With the shortened tips the exhaust sound resonates a bit more and sounds really good. Not drony at all, just a little deeper.

I don't want to rain on anybodies parade, but if any S6 people here are looking for a new diffuser but don't want to spend the money to get the RS7 or RS6 version, here is an alternative option.
Deval CF Front Lip Spoiler and Rear Diffuser for C7 S6/A6- Gauging Interest - Page 7

Last page has a pic. No pics of it installed yet. I put down a deposit during the infant stages of it, but have not ordered mine yet. I am working on some questions with fit as it sounds like I will have to modify my exhaust when I was not told that originally. However this is made with the S6 exhaust in mind. Not sure on pricing for entry at this stage in the process, but from what I hear, cheaper than going OEM.

Do you remember what manufacturer and part number for the tips was?

Thanks,
Bob
