Eibach springs and stock shocks
I'm putting on Eibach pro-kit with my stock shocks (non-sport). I'm not buying new shocks...so don't bother.
The car has 30,000 miles. I just wanna know how long the shocks will last with this set up.

about a week....
or so I am told, your "stock shocks" are just not designed to handle the lowering springs. Check around, other will tell you thier experiences. But that is what I remember hearing.

that is because the stock shock is made for a taller spring.
if you place a spring that is shorter/sport spring you increase the amount of travel that the shock has to compress to, and the shock works harder. This will all tend to blow out the shock which will end up him redoing the job and now spending more money up front to do the job. If you want to do suspension on your car do it right the first time over.
If I worded this wrong it's cause it's still early in the morning.

Ok, which shocks then?
ok, IF i decide to get shocks, which ones would work just for purely consmetic purposes? Basically, which would be cheapest? How about stock sport suspension shocks...would I be able to pick those up for a fair price or would I just as well get aftermarket? I'm not looking to carve up corners here, just want to lose the fender gap for my 18 inchers.... it's not even a turbo.
Thanks for the help
