Questions putting 01.5 motor in a 00 S4
I tried searching but had no luck. I just have two main questions.
1. Can I use the engine harnes that came from the 01.5 motor in the 00 car? They look exactly the same, but was not sure if there are any differences.
2. Do I have to run all the provisions for the F hose, or is there a way to get around that?
Any help is appreciated.

though i am still bitter about losing out on your car ... i will help
1. you can put the 01.5 motor into the 00 car with no problem. the only difference on the harness is the way the starter wire and alternator wire are routed/connected
2. if the motor is an 01.5 ... just leave it all 01.5 ... no need to add f hose...
you need to decide if you want to run A box or M box ... and then you need to make the MAF match whichever box you are using
other than that it is very straight forward ... i did it about a month ago

I'm not sure what you mean about my car but...
thanks for the help. Could you please clarify what you mean about matching up the MAF. Is the plug different on the years? I want to keep my stock ECU which is an A box.

oh its neither here nor there
you had a black damaged car, i wanted to buy it but asked a bunch of questions about what exactly was included since you took some parts off ... then it was sold to someone else (eric) in the meantime. you snooze u lose i guess
but a 2000 car uses a bosch MAF, and an abox ECU whereas a 2001.5 uses a hitachi maf and an mbox ECU....
if you want to keep ur stock Abox ecu, you will have to cut the MAF connector off your 01.5 harness (hitachi connector), and solder a bosch connector on there

ohh...that was my buddy's car, was just helping him out...
yeah Eric came and snatched the car, if I had the money I would have kept it. Gave that thing away.
I really appreciate the help.
