I'm still on my original battery since 2006
I turned off convenience lighting and I try to remember to turn off radio before I shut down.
As much as possible I do not lock my car at night.
Finally I also open the trunk before I switch off the engine when arriving to unload cargo food etc.
Its by far the longest battery life I've ever had but it cant have much left coming up for 8 years even with very low miles.

These newer AGM batteries have amazing life spans. Far superior to traditional flooded batteries. I don't think I'll ever fit another lead-acid battery to a vehicle I own assuming an AGM is available for the given application.
My '11 Audi has a traditional battery and it's just 3 yrs old this month. This winter has been harsh. The MMI battery meter is way down, to the point it's concerning me.
It appears that cars (B8) sent to Canada receive AGM, where cars sent to USA get a traditional battery
