Default TDI anti gel??

Was suprised when I picked up my TDI from a dealer in Milwaukee that they didn't recommend any anti-gel treatment for the fuel in the winter. When I had my diesel F-250 I used a Motorcraft anti gel fluid with fill ups in the dead of winter and never had an issue. One of my partners also had a similiar truck and had it die on him twice while driving and he never used any additive during the winter.

No issues yet but it has gotten rather cold for "early" winter in Iowa... what about you other cold weather TDI owners??

I would use something. I use the POWERSERVICE brand in all my trucks. The white one is for winter and the grey for summer.

not required if you're getting winter diesel.
Ive run diesels up here in Canada at -30 C and no issues no additives.

When we were up in Wisconsin last month, Kwik Trip (Top Tier for gasoline) had a sign on top of their diesel pumps saying "Winterized diesel", meaning it already had anti-gel agents in it. Something to look for in Iowa perhaps.
