I have been having problems with the gas tank. As i go to fill it up it will fill for at most $1.00 and a time until the pump shuts off. I was wondering if this is a thing with a lot of A4's or what and what it might be.

That's one strange problem you are facing. I never heard of that one before. Is it that you fill it up and the meter stops at $1.00 but the pump keeps on filling and stops when it senses the tank is full or does it stops when the counter hits $1.00??

I have that same problem with my a4. Talked to Audi dealer and they weren't sure either.

No the pump will fill up my tank for about a dollar or so and then it will just shut off, discontinuing the flow of gasoline. I heard that it might be a problem with the evaporative emission control system, there can be an obstruction in that but I still don't know for sure. I am bringing it to a shop after I get out of school.

Try pulling the nozzle back out a inch or two.

Thats funny, Same thing happens to me. I just pull nozzel out a little and it works fine.
