Re: About the menu...
The information display just says "PHONE" as does the radio display.
The Parrot 'talks' to you.
For example...When you access the settings it says "Language-English". Scroll the right thumbwheel and it talks in French, Itallian, etc.
Tap the right button and it moves to the next option, volume.
The parrot says "volume" and pings every few seconds so you have a tone to set the volume by.
The other menues all work the same. It's kinda cool not having to read a display.
Keep us posted on your install and impressions!

I finally received the package. I'm installing it onto a retrofitted RNS-E.
The whole assembly looks pretty complicated with all the adapters and wires, but I'm sure it'll work out. I'll probably start tackling it this weekend.

Just got it and installed it. Wow! Works great. Thanks for the terrific write-up. At first I forgot to connect the ignition fuse holder top to 12V switched and my Parrot didn't power up, but then I figured out my mistake. Highly recommended.

Does the Mode button have any functionality now? If not, is it possible to to program the Mode to enter the Parrot Menu instead?
This may be a no-brainer, but I want to make sure: Will I lose the regular functionality of the scrollers (scanning radio stations/volume)?
Or once the radio goes into "Phone" mode, does the steering wheel functionality transfer directly to Parrot?
