Default Going to look at a 1983 Audi Coupe Gt

Hey everyone, I really miss owning an old Audi, so recently a 1983 Audi Coupe GT popped up in my local "used everywere" ads. It looks solid, no rust or dents. It is a golden color with quad headlights (pre facelift) all that I know about it right now is it's definitely a 5 cylinder, 2.1 or 2.2? And that it is a 5 speed manual with roughly 230,000 km on the odometer. I'm going to look at it in the next couple days.

I've never owned a coupe gt before, but from my understanding they are almost identical to the 4000 (in terms of mechanical and electrical layout) is there anything special that I should look for in this car? Problems etc. thanks!

Default not as good as i hoped...

the body is alright, but the interior needs a crap ton of work. The seats are ruined and many dashboard features are damaged or missing. I wouldn't call it done for, it has hope.

Body looks pretty clean! What's wrong with the interior? If it runs alright, I'd say shoot the guy an offer.

the interior is pretty bad. the seats are torn front and back, the dash looks like the desert floor and it is missing all sorts of trim. It ran very well, the body was decent but it had some good dings and scratches. I offered $500 from the original $1500, it was a no go for me.

So I'm guessing you're still on the hunt for another classic Audi eh?
