A month or so back I called my dealer and he said they had one set of parts in to do the job, so come on in. Next AM I had the job done and it took just under 3 hours. The mechanic who did the job was a master tech with Audi. You guys who had your job take longer probably didn't have a top line tech do the job. Something to ask about next time something comes up.

Just following up...
After keeping my car overnight my dealership called the next morning to tell me that FedEx lost the fuel line and they would have to re-order. So another round trip to the dealer to dump the A4 loaner and get my S6 back. Dealer was very apologetic and washed the car for me... putting two scratches on it when they did.
Now I have a scratched S6 that still needs the fuel-line recall and have wasted three hours driving to and from the dealership for nothing.
I'll try the getting the recall preformed next week, and will take up the issue of the scratches at that time.
Getting extremely frustrated here.

Took the car back to the dealer today and finally got the fuel line replaced. With the part in hand the job only took a few hours. Dealer also buffed out the scratches they made when washing the car during the first (aborted) attempt at replacing the fuel line (but I have not see the car in daylight yet to see what kind of job they did).
As a side note... I complained about the shifting / throttle response when taking the car in and they did have a new TSB available to reprogram the transmission. Will post a separate thread about that.

Appointment scheduled two days in advance. Drop off @ 9am and pick up @ 5pm. Dealer gave me a new A8 4.0T as a loaner. Now @ 10k miles and my service experiences have been excellent. On par with Porsche and better than Mbenz or BMW.
