Hello everyone! i need your help. My 97 a6 wagon never had electrical problems before. A couple of weeks ago it burn out brake light fuse. Put a new one and it worked for a couple of weeks. Then out of the blue it did it again, when i put a new fuse it burn it out and it did it 6 times in a row. Any ideas what has caused this? Have any of you ever go through this problem. The scary part is that when it happens you cannot even move the shift ****. It just moves a little but you cannot get it out of there.

It will be the wiring in the tailgate, remove the trim and replace the wiring.
