A picture is worth a thousand words....
Here is a photo of the the wheel on my S5. Note the three areas called out. I removed the hub cap so you can see the center of the wheel hub. It is very common to see a bit of rust on the disc rotor, in the area between the aluminum mounting flange and the cast iron of the rotor (the rotor "hat"), and on the center of the wheel hub.
So - do any of these correspond with the rust you are seeing? If so, this is perfectly normal - don't worry about it! And by all means do NOT think about applying any high temperature paint to these areas!
