Default Disabling lumbar support?

Unsure if anyone out there has back issues like me, but I really hate adjustable lumbar support. I have a p plus but even with memory seats, I heard the lumbar isn't memorized. When the shop messed with it last time, it took me a month to find and adapt to a 'new' setting since my back is such a mess. Wondering if there's some way to disable just the round lumbar disc thing so when I take the car in next week, they can't screw it up.

Any thoughts? Doubt there's a fuse for just that function, but never know!

Here's a novel thought - you could ask the dealer to note - not to move the lumbar support positioning. also - really - a month... I know back issues are tough but there are not that many positioning options that it should take you that much for a simple auto lumbar - OR - since you say you hate lumbar support - how about simply not using it at all.

Seems you have several basic options to review...

Does putting it all the way down and all the way in help? If you have that severe of a back pain, how after installing an aftermarket seat that fits you perfectly? I know it will look out of place but at the same time it will look badass!

Pull out the plug from the seat electical harness. That way they can't move the seat. I bet that won't be easy to acess though. OR even easier. Get black duct tape and tape it over the lumbar controls. Then nicely ask that they not mess with your settings

Thanks guys. Yeah, might seem menial or ridiculous to some of you guys, but it just bugs me.. I've pleaded with the shop to not touch settings but half the time they mess with something. They pretty much roll their eyes when i tell them since they think its menial too. I've actually done the duct tape thing, just curious if there was an easier option.

Is it possible for you to memorize (mentally, not electronically) the setting starting from a given baseline position?

Zero the lumbar support position by pushing the "back" and "down" button until you effectively have mimimal support, positioned as low as possible. Then, for example, push the "forward" button for 5 seconds and the "up" button for 3 seconds. As long as you know how many "forward" and "up" seconds your ideal position is from the zero position, you should always be able to get very close to your ideal position.

Just a thought.
