I've already searched archives, but can't find any concrete answers - 2.8 sport springs on 1.8T?
I have non-sport suspension on my 99 (not 99.5) B5 A4 Avant Quattro and it's time to replace the shocks. While I'm at it, I want to switch out the springs for the stock 'sport' springs.
I found a set from another avant but it's a 2.8 and I have a 1.8T. Looking at the model specs, the 2.8 is about 100lbs heavier, so I'm concerned about the spring rates between the two components. I assume all the extra weight is in the front so would the nose sit too high?
Does anyone know the different spring rates for sport springs in '99? Or better yet, does anyone have any first hand experience with this issue?
Thanks for any help. . .
