Does anyone know why Consumer Reports rated the 2008 2.0T as having the worst reliability performance for engine (minor) issues? Is there a known problem? Interestingly it got the best rating for engine (major) issues.

2.0T has had issues with failing PCV, worn cam followers and tumbler flaps. PCV is a 10-15 min replacement., think the cam follower is approx 1 hr. Don't know how long to fix the tumbler flaps.

Thanks for the reply... Am I correct to assume that none of these issues are covered under warranty?

Warranty covered my PCV at the time. Audi has sent me a letter extending the warranty for tumbler flaps, PCV and fuel pressure sensor to 10 years or 192,000km. Cam follower is a grey area at the moment. Think warranty was extended for the 2005.5-2007 model years but nothing mentioned yet for the 2008's.
