My 99 Land Rover Discovery Series II has several parts from BMW. The boschtronic engine management system from the 740i, misc. belts and cables have the same part #, some switches are the same and the gear **** is from the 740i as well. The leather for the seats is the identicle lot from the 740i and the wood grain and finishing looks very similar as well.

I guess the diference here is that BMW is sharing with a sister company, not a sister car and one that cost the same if not more.
