I spoke with a local shop about getting the APR stage 1 flash and was told they needed to remove the ECU from the car to flash it. I wrote an email to APR and they are telling me it does not have to be removed. Can anyone verify this? The shop is wanting an extra $100 in labor to remove the ECU. I have a 2012 Audi TT with the TFSI engine.

Recommend you call APR and get it straight from them. I had a similar issue yesterday. On the phone the dealer didn't know if the ECU of the '14 TTS had to be removed. A quick toll free call to APR cleared that up for me. Going in this afternoon for Stage 1.

Ok Just talked to APR apparently the TTS can be done without removal and the regular TT has to be removed.
