Default The bearings just fell out of the bushing when I pulled them out.

I noticed you had the now NLA blue mounts in there. I replaced them with greens. I've still got a pop when I turn the wheels left to right so I'm going to replace the ball joints and control arm bushings. I guess I'll need to find some later style control arms and sway bar. Fun mister!

Default May have something to do with the H&R springs too. Always had little

noises after they were installed. They're pretty short. Have you tried a stethescope to pinpoint the noise or is that possible.

Default actually I think that's OK... they're really separate parts....

in fact on the later cars you buy the rubber mount and bearing separately.

Default Yep, I'm pretty sure that's the way it was on my (ex) TT too. Sure got....

to banging & rattling before I replaced them.

Default I was going to just replace it all while I was in there.

You know how I am! I'll put all new parts in and if it still does it I'll throw the chassis ear on the thing and try to pinpoint the noise. But, I'm already pretty sure it's the ball joints (NLA).

Here's a better picture for you John. Waddaya think of the euros?

Default I like them. The later 4k's I put in there were ok, but not much light..

I hated the original quads. I'm sure glad it went to a good home. Had a lot to do with me finally letting it go. Hows it doing otherwise? You'all driving it much?

Default Adding relays helps that dim light problem.

I had the same problem on the Zermatt 4k...then I built a harness and relayed each beam. As Chris can attest, it was borderline criminal how much light I had.

I still need to build on for the '83.
