Default Valve Cover Gasket - Cork versus Rubber

I know this has been discussed before with personal preferences cited, but still I need to revisit. I am about to put the cover back on after some work and was sent a cork gasket - the current one is the ridged rubber type. My understanding is there may be a diff in the studs and eyes in the cover which says one is better than the other... Also if using cork, is it recommended to use clean or with permatex?

Default Yes the rubber has different sized holes. Use cork, with gascavich or similar sealant.

Dont use ultrablack or rtv type stuff. U just want a 'tacky' set to help the gasket seat. Goodluck.
