So I am beginning to think my ED trip won't happen. Right now we are scheduled to pick up our A4 from the factory on Monday April 14. I have finally convinced my wife to leave our toddler at home with her parents. The rub is that my daughter's 2nd birthday is Saturday April 19th and my wife is saying that we have to be home in time to spend the day with our daughter. That would mean only three driving days (Tuesday - Thursday) and drop off on Friday morning before our flight home. It seems like a lot of expense and stress just for a few days. Anyone have any thoughts?

We targeted that week in April because it is my wife's spring break. She is a school teacher. If we were to delay the delivery it would have to be the end of June after she gets out of school.

Is it a possibility to take your under 2 year old daughter with you? Isn't airfare considerably cheaper for under 2 year olds? Then you would be able to stretch out your ED for an extra few days while spending her birthday in Europe? Hahah.

My main goal was to gauge the crowd to see if 3 driving days was even worth it.

Personally I won't do it for 3 days, the discount is not that great. But on the other hand you could consider it a mini honeymoon with no kid, as long as your wife is not paraniod and in the fidgity child withdrawal mode the entire trip.

A couple of mountain pass websites
Get this info from another forum.
I have been scouring this site and the search engines for better info. regarding the stelvio and other swiss passes... Came across these which I think are pretty good (which I haven't seen mentioned here)
