ED order deadlines and pricing
We plan to order a Q5 for European Delivery and curious about readers’ experiences with discounts and how to get the best deal. Is anything available besides saving the ‘destination fee’ charged for US delivery? Also does anyone know the deadline for ordering a 2014 model? I appreciate any comments you may offer. Thanks, Bill

You skip "Advertising Fee"
Regarding deadline for 2014 - BMW closed their plant in Munich in second half of August for retooling. I would assume, Audi do the same. During this time almost all workers had vacation. When they back in September and start working - next year model will come out out the door.
To order 2014 before August closing - you probably need to order no later than beginning of the April.

You have to pay "Destination fee". Mercedes and Volvo wave this charges, but not Audi, BMW and Porsche

Remember, you SA will collect VAT tax check, witch is 19% of your car total price. Some of them cashed immediately, some of them just give you back your check after you get back to US.
