Default Anyone with painted brake calipers??

Hey guys,
I was looking at painting my brake calipers red on my 2013 A6 3.0 Prestige. I have heard that I have two options for painting, one that lasts really long and one that starts fading and flaking off after a little while. (don't know the name of either)

Does anyone have pics of their own A6 with painted brake calipers? If you do please post them so I can get an idea of what they look like.

Also if anyone can shed a bit of light on the options i have or what i should consider, it would be reallly appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance!

I have always had aftermarket summer wheels on my car and I paint my calipers for a finished look behind the wheels.

I have used G2 Epoxy paint and when it chipped, my emails for a refund or replacement were ignored. It is a good looking paint, it lasts a long time but if it chips, you're on your own. If you do use it, buy a couple of brushes/mixing cups and mix half at a time for more working time. You have to work fast and let it cure for 24 hours to allow it to set. IIRC, it came off easily with brake cleaner.

I now use ordinary Krylon glossy black and freshen the calipers every spring when I install the summer tires. I also check the pad thickness both spring and fall. I change my own pads so I don't want to be replacing pads mid-winter.

Here's a sample of Audi painted brake caliper pictures that I have saved.

Thanks everyone for the help.

tenspeed, can you possibly send me a couple of side on shots of how your full car looks with the painted calipers?

Thanks
