Default Replacement intake boot options

Now that I have my car running better, it's time to start upgrading. I was thinking about using this carburetor intake plenum as a replacement for my worn, cracked, aging intake boot. It has a standard 5 1/8" diameter opening that necks down to 4" intake tubing. The diameter of the air meter on my Audi is exactly 5", so I thought with a gasket and some creative mounting options, it would be the perfect setup. Anyone ever done something like this?

UPDATE:
I found something better and WAAAAAAAAY cheaper. It's called a cobra head reducing elbow (the picture on the right). It goes from a 5" opening on the bottom to a 4" on the side. This will fit perfectly! Got it off of intakehoses.com. It's only $28 instead of $100, and it's heavy-duty rubber so I can bend it a bit if needed. Now I'm getting excited! I'll keep everyone updated.

I definitely will. Yesterday, I took a template of the rubber elbow out to my car and it looks like I will have to move the filter box forward about 1.5 to 2 inches, which may be hard since it's so cramped in there already. Without moving the box, the overall length of the elbow is too long to make the turn towards my throttle body. I am going to make it work though.
