My 2002 Quattro has just stopped opening all the orher door and trunk when I use the key. Also the window up and down system witk=h key not working. I concluded that this could be the service mode where your trunk is safe if you do not have the remote control. If I am correct how do I reset the key to open/close all doors as well as windows?

Hi guys
I managed to solve the key locking problem. The connection to the micro switch in driver's door was loose. Fixed in askew with a piece of wire and it works perfect. But I still have a question. How do I set the thing to service mode so that if you open door using service key the trunk does not open?

HUH? afaik, not aware of any "service mode" there is Valet key you can use that doesn't open trunk or glove box...

you mean service mode or service position to work on engine?

The valet key does not open trunk and glove box, fine, but if you use it to unlock driver's door all doors and trunk unlock centrally. So what use is the valet key?
