License plate matches up to the truck...
and my description of the guy matches the drivers license info of the second registered owner (first is a female). Waiting on the detectives to provide a photograph line up to make a positive i.d. and then sign the papers with the state attorney to have an arrest warrant issued. More than likely it will become a little messy due to the fact that I left the scene to get the plate and a description of him. We'll see how it goes.

It is repairable...
But all four door skins and both rear quarter panels need to be replaced, rear suspension componenets and roughly 80% of the car repainted to blend and match it up. Then the major issue of the more than 6 months it will take to have the car repaired. The cost of alternative transportation and/or the car payments it self will be just as much as the repairs. Add diminished value on top of that and it will be well over $50k. It comes down to the car is worth more to resell as is and collect the money than to repair and then resell.

If not too nosey...So you just told the insurance company..it's your car now, give me a check for the value, I'm moving on, since my "baby" been abused, to hell with yyyoouuusss.
