well after a lot of cursing, hammering, lubing, cursing some more, and having the apartment manager mad at me (not supposed to work on cars in the parking lot), the rear came out. didnt have time to finish, had to go to work. will go back to it tomorrow.

I had to put pressure on the strut assembly in different directions until I found which relieved the pressure on the control arm the most to allow both removal/reinstallation. So I was pushing with one arm, using the rubber hammer with the other.

Worked a lot better when installing to put the rear back in first too. I used lots of antiseize on both the joint and the pinch bolt.

Gotta go do this again soon to replace the airbags.

got the old assembly out this morning, only to find that the bolts are not torx bolts like i have been reading. napa down the street actually has some triple square bits in stock, gonna go there after work. hopefully i can finish this up today and this job wont go into the third day.

Yes, I am sure my airbags were lot leaking at all, rather just the large O-rings at the top .. the triple square bolts at the top are supposed to be torgued to 23NM to squash the rubber mount at the top .. they were finger tight only. There was also visible evidence of leaking airflow in the alloy casting ..

Suggest you check this deal before committing to new springs.

Default Wow iit is what i look forward but can i fix or replace the rubber sleeve in airsprin

Can i repalce rubber sleeve in air spring???
