Weak heat
Are these cars known to have the heater core getting blocked? I have the same symptoms as my wife's a4 which would make sense since they are similar design when it comes to the heater core and such I just get weak heat when on full blast. Just wondering if it's an easy fix or can it be unclogged?
Thanks

Yeah, they tend to get blocked up. You can flush it out pretty easily though with some tubing, a bucket, and some water. A couple of years ago I only had heat when the engine was reving over 2000 rpm meaning that the water pump had to have enough pressure to get past the blockage in the heater core. After I flushed it out the heat came back.

Can also be a symptom the system needs to be bled. Bleeder screw buried between the power steering pump and the driver side head brought the heat back to my Allroad after I did the timing belt/water pump. Crack it open with the engine idling.
