a little background, i'm a brand new owner of a 2004 S4. i've only had her for 7 days now and it's been a blast. this is also my first ever Audi ownership. always been curious to know what it was like to own an Audi and now i know and am glad i have one. i originally intended to buy an A8 but this S4 showed up and i couldn't pass it up!

so being as it is 10 years old, there are some quirks. for one, the center arm rest lid hinge was broke and here is my fix:
as i start to fix her up i will make more videos! to the mods, if i'm posting this wrong, please make the corrections. hope this helps others!

Thanks for this. I did the same yesterday to mine and added some felt feet to the lid to stop the creaking. So far, so good! And if it doesn't keep, it was $8.00 all-in. Worth the effort, I'd say.

glad to have helped out. anything to help fellow audi-owners. thus far i love my S4 but the prices for replacement parts is just off-the-wall crazy-expensive for no apparent reason.

So glad I found this, one of my hinges is broken and it's literally the only thing in the entire car interior that doesn't work 100% as new. My brother was riding in the backseat and took the lid off and waved it around saying, "I thought you took care of your cars? Is this supposed to happen?" Aggravating.
