Default bye bye CIS-E, hello 4 barrel carb

As the title says im converting a spare 2.3 manifold to adapt a holley 4 barrel carb to handle my fueling. it can deliver more than double the air and fuel then the old cis can and make my headaches go away. ive never heard of it being done before so figured id share. im a lot more handy with carbs. feel free to ask Q's or comments

Sounds awesome, just be sure to post some pics.

Going to add a turbo at some point?

i will. buying the carb next month and fabricating parts this month in the shop. very long story short: the carb will be stationed where the air box is, a flange adapter will connect the carb to a 90 degree 3 inch tubing, into the manifold through an adapter that takes the throttle body's place. more distance = better atomization of fuel. injector ports in manifold are plugged. an electric carb heater will be used. then figure out the vacuum plumbing and linkage. ill mock up a schematic to post in a few days

yes i plan to run a draw through supercharger setup using a rebuilt and ported eaton m90 i have. will bolt where the ac compressor is. ill use the electric clutch pulley from the m62 to disengage boost after the throttle plate is closed. so no blow of valve needed solving one issue of draw through on carbs

Default Nice!!!

I have been thinking bout ditching the cis for a long time, there are a few videos on youtube with a carbed 4k, a few with 5 little carbs bolted right to the head. I like how you are setting up you carb convert, if you were interested in making more then one set up, what would you charge. I only ask because I don't have access to a shop to do it my self. Thanx
