Default Cargo Net

I think this was discussed in a different thread, but I am unable to find it. Does anyone know if the cargo net from previous model years of the A6 or A4 will fit the A7? I think the cargo net should be included considering the cost of the car but I have been able to find used nets on eBay for considerably less than what Audi charges. Thanks in advance!

Default I use my old Audi net quite well

It fits well. I stretch the six points to make three compartments that keep things like groceries, bags or a suitcase from moving around too much. (The old backpack contains my emergency kit: tools, tire repair, poncho, gloves, air pump and extra clothing for when I am in a suit or for winter.

Save yourself some money and get the VW Passat cargo net. Here, in Vancouver, it was 70% cheaper than Audi's and works well for me.

You should treat yourself to a new backpack!

Maybe one of these? http://uncrate.com/stuff/rush-24-backpack/

I haven't seen the one designed specifically for the A7. Based on jerry S4's pic, I would say the VW net is slightly narrower in the middle and only has four clips, not six. It would be easy to fasten two additional clips although I don't see the necessity. It has a pocket for smaller items. I have transported many items at one time including 5 picture frames and a large 17 inch notebook in its box. I find it easy to use and it holds the items well. It will stretch to the level of the trunk insert. It does not form a perfect rectangle so there are some areas not covered at the sides of the net at its center.

I can't locate the receipt so I don't have the part number but I have attached a picture of the net and a picture of the tag attached to it. MSRP Canadian is $89, I paid $80. If you still can't locate the net, I can call the VW dealer to get the part number for you.

I found a few on eBay from A4/6 models for less than $50. Just another resource. I will let you know how well it fits once I receive it.
