Default Ignition Coil Problems?

Hi, I have a 2001.5 A4 1.8tqm. my ignition coils pop out once in a while, and i read somewhere that you should check to see if the spark plugs are torqued properly, so i took the ignition coil out and then loosened the spark plug slightly so i know i couldn't over tighten, and then i torqued the spark plug to 22 ft-lbs and now the ignition coil doesn't "pop-in" and doesn't seat all the way. I took an ignition coil from a different cylinder and tried to put it in that one but it did the same, and i also tried putting the ignition coil from the original cylinder i was having problems with in another cylinder and it "popped-in" so that means it has to be something other than the ignition coil causing it to not go in all the way. Also the car runs perfectly smooth and no misfires event though the coil is not seated properly. Anyone have any suggestions?
thanks, Matt

First, look in the spark plug hole closely and look for anything that might have fallen in there.

Next, I would remove the plug from the engine and inspect it for cracks, etc.

If the plug is fine, and nothing is in the shaft, it should go on.
