Inner CV joint fell off...

Inner CV joint fell off...
My drivers side inner CV joint fell off the other day (all six bolts and plates). I ordered replacements and they are too big to fit through the CV joint holes. The dealership says they are the only part specified for my VIN. The part number is: N-909-911-02. I have an '06 A3 with the six speed manual. What the???
