A3 00588 airbag code
Hi, I am looking for some advice for an airbag fault on my 2000 A3 1.8T. 5door
I replaced the clock spring approx 8 months ago as the ESP light was on in dash and it was the steering angle sensor at fault, fitted a genuine audi part and reset steering angle sensor and light went off.
However almost since then the airbag light has come in intermittently and for the last while it's been on permanently..
Have read the codes and have got the following
Vagcom- 00588- airbag igniter - drivers side(n95) resistance too low
Launch - 00588 - airbag squib circuit - driver - too low impedance
Have read a few threads on here with this fault code but wondering if anyone knows a definite tea pair for this fault, do I replace the clock spring again or the actual airbag or something else.
Hope this makes sense, any questions or more info please ask.
