Default ESP light problem

My ESP light comes on even if there were no traction issues after driving for a few minutes. The only way to get it off is to restart my car. Also my rear light and center brake light indicator also has been on.. I replaceed the bulbs....it is pretty cold in Chicago...maybe that has something to do with it all???????

likely your brake pedal sensor is malfunctioning . If you have a vag, check it out.

Default Check your brake light switch

It's a common item to fail and it lit up my ASR light on my 2005 Passat wagon. I believe ESP uses the same brake ABS system to control wheel spin. What code do you get with a vag-com? It should point right to it (mine did). If this is the prob, then search vwvortex.com for a writeup on installing this switch.
