I haven't tried it yet, but I assume that I can get the part number of a Tip module through the
transmission module in VAG-COM similar to how I can see the ECU part number for the engine computer...?

so I take it this is it?
is that 2.7I5VT or 2.7L5VT (looks like I but L makes sense...)? I assume it doesn't really make a difference, since I doubt both part numbers are valid
