20v head
Alright well I picked up a running '89 200T. The automatic transmission went out on it, no surprise. Would it be able to shave the MC1 block to raise compression with a 7a/aan/3b head? Any input would be great. I'm looking for a rebuild to put in my 1990 200TQ. Since the engine seems a little tired and I just like horsepower. I forgot to add this, safety is definately on top of the priority list. Also, how much and where would I find these heads? Thanks, any input is welcome.

The first problem you have is that the autotragic cars can't handle horsepower...
but if you want to push what you can through the tranny you just blew (assuming you rebuild it) just do an R-mod and run 1.6 to 1.8 bar that way.
It simply isn't worth hopping up a car without quattro.

Re: you will certainly blow the tranny ,I went thru 2 and felt the 3rd slip once
I have never driven the '89 200T, it is just a simple parts car. The engine will be pulled, rebuilt, and placed in my '90 TQ. Now back to the head?
